Spanish Vacation: Barcelona

We are now in Barcelona, a very cosmopolitan Spanish city. The architecture is amazing, especially the Modernista work. Some of Gaudi´s work reminds me of Salvador Dali, that kind of melted art.

During the last two days we explored the nearby wine country of Penedes and Priorat. The landscape is breath-taking and the weather was perfect. We visited four excellent wineries filled with passionate people. So much wine, yet so hard to get it all home.

Our meals continue to amaze, with two incredible multi-course lunches in wine country. Including some of the best figs I have ever ate. And at night, it has been perfect to wander the city of Barcelona.

Today we will have a gourmet tour of the city, including the enormous Boqueria Market. Then tonight we will might up with a couple of online friends, Ryan & Gabriella who run Catavino, an impressive site all about Spanish and Portugeuse wine. We will sit on the rooftop of our hotel, drink some wine, and then go for dinner. Can´t wait.
